The Emu is a large flightless bird from Australia. It is the third biggest bird in the world. The emu is also very fast- it can run upto 50 kmph. Emu also swim very well. This huge bird lives in flocks in grasslands, Savannah's and the Australian bush. The emu's life span is 10-20 years.
Emus grow to be about 185CM tall and weight about 50kg. Emus are primarily plant-eaters. They swallow small stones, which stay in the gizzard and help to grind up food.
